Hi there! My name is Vanessa Coursey. I was a born and raised Florida girl. As a young girl, I enjoyed my life soaking up the sunshine, breathing the sun-kissed air, and exploring the country roads of Central Florida alongside the world’s finest friends. Since I was young I always had a strong desire to be somewhere new, be part of something different and exciting, and to explore the possibilities that were yet to be. Living a pretty fearless life, with my glass overflowing I decided to take the plunge into the great unknown. So just after turning 19 I packed up my little yellow VW beetle and set off to embark on a new adventure. I was headed toward a glorious place that I had known nothing about. I would make San Diego my next place to call home, and this has been the single best decision I have (to record date) ever made. Because this is the place that changed the course of history for me, I met the world’s most amazing man, Max Coursey. He was a dreamer, and doer… A man after my heart. After only a few short weeks of dating, he asked me if I would move to Boise, Idaho. Which was slightly crazy since I had no idea where Boise was. The idea of moving to this great unknown never phased me because I was moving with a man who had my heart in his hands, I didn’t really care where we went, as long as it was with him. Upon moving to what I would forever call “home”, I quickly learned that Boise was different and it is so much more than just potatoes. It is adventurous, active, incredibly beautiful, and different. It was different in ways that I had to adjust to, there was snow, and seasons… But the one thing that still sticks out in my mind so clearly are how nice the people are. It definitely seems to be a Boise thing. Not that people are not nice everywhere else… they are just nice in a unique Boise/Idaho kind of way, you will just have to experience it to believe it.
Being a Mom is pretty much my favorite job in the world. Since I was little I always dreamt of being a Mom, I have been fortunate enough to have 3 kids that bring me so much joy. They keep me fairly busy with their hobbies, school, and social life, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I enjoy volunteering with various activities during the school year. I have been particularly involved with our school’s art auction, and have done several projects working with the kid’s classroom art project. I am frequently shuttling the kids from place to place, watching their latest achievement, or listening to their great ideas (which ironically usually consist of more work for me). Keeping their calendar straight could be a full-time job… but I still enjoy doing things for myself and helping others. I have always been passionate about arts, crafting, style, and home design. I have personally lived through several remodels, and renovations with my family (which can be challenging from time to time), and have helped friends with their own design quests. It brings me such great satisfaction and pleasure when a house can be transformed into a beautiful home… some homes just require a lot of vision and extra work, others simply need new paint colors and new flooring to look great. I enjoy the challenge of finding the potential in every home, especially when it is begging to be reinvented. I love that art exists in so many facets of my life. I often find myself looking for inspiration everywhere I go, and sometimes I am surprised where I find it. I am happy to help my clients find the perfect home, for the perfect price. I will happily help give any design, and style advice along the way. Cheers!
